Track Name: If I Had The Oceans
I've lost favor with the seasons
And my well's run dry of reasons
But there's clouds of something forming up above
If a man falls does he make sound
Or is he swallowed by the ground
Give him bags of money, life can't be that rough

But if I had the oceans
I would make them sing
With ancient faces smiling from below
And if I had the mountains
I'd keep their frozen wings
So they could fly like sunshine off the snow

Give me back my truck of leather
It runs faster in dark weather
Does it match the hard hat land we've come to fill
Savor each breath like it's your last
But don't follow air that's blown past
You'll get lost like feathers drifting from a kill

But if I had the oceans
I would make them sing
With ancient faces smiling from below
And if I had the mountains
I'd keep their frozen wings
So they could fly like sunshine off the snow

Well the sun is beating hotter
And the rain is falling harder
Forming patterns with the colors of my shirt
But my suit is in the closet
Catching water from the faucet
Filling puddles in the pockets of green dirt

But if I had the oceans
I would make them sing
With ancient faces smiling from below
And if I had the mountains
I'd keep their frozen wings
So they could fly like sunshine off the snow
Track Name: Frozen Eyes
When the last leaf falls
Shaken by the death of summer
Autumn takes a breath
Victory tastes sweet
As the first pick of the harvest
Before the winter’s rest

Frosty morn
You feel so warm
From the inside

Can you hear the drums
They are calling for their brothers
Sent humbled to the dirt
Mother nature hums
As she lays down by her fire
The roots tug soft at her shirt

Frosty morn
You feel so warm
From the inside
With frozen eyes
You run and hide
From dripping pines
Track Name: Foggy 6 AM
Wake up
Open my eyes
I’ve got trouble in my mind
And the carpet in my car feels damp and cold
Wipe the sleep from my eyes
But my bed just sounds so nice
And I’m hopin’ I see you before we’re old

It’s a foggy 6 AM
And I’m missing you again
I ain’t got nowhere to rest
But I trust you know the best
The clouds are hangin’ low
And thank God I’m drivin’ slow
Cause you’re takin’ your sweet time in comin’ home

Well I’m driving up 71
With a present and a gun
If you don’t know what’s wrong you can’t be right
Well my mind ain’t been so sick
Since yesterday at six
With the air around me binding me so tight

It’s a foggy 6 AM
And I’m missing you again
I ain’t got nowhere to rest
But I trust you know the best
The clouds are hangin’ low
And thank God I’m drivin’ slow
Cause you’re takin’ your sweet time in comin’ home

The streetlights seem so bright
When the sky it looks like night
And the mist before me glistens with the dew
I wish the sun was beating down
And my heart it starts to pound
Cause my brain can’t think of anything but you

So I’ll sit in my car and I’ll drift through the lanes
Dodging the water but hitting the flames
And I’m racking my brain for some kind of release
But the pain in my head is the same in my knees
When everything’s empty and feels like a cage
I don’t wanna be civil I will not behave
I’ll sit in my chair and pump up the morphine
Cause if you die old then you die an orphan

It’s a foggy 6 AM
And I’m missing you again
I ain’t got nowhere to rest
But I trust you know the best
The clouds are hangin’ low
And thank God I’m drivin’ slow
Cause you’re takin’ your sweet time in comin’ home
Track Name: A Hill On The Plains
I lie awake in the fires they burn
I lie awake in the fires they burn
The water beneath me just makes the bed turn
I lie awake in the fires they burn

The island grows smaller as the fires surround it
So if you are needing a torch for your eyes, you found it

Smoke in my chimney, smoke in my lungs
Smoke in my chimney, smoke in my lungs
The air is as swollen as the tip of my tongue
Smoke in my chimney, smoke in my lungs

It swirls to a cyclone as the rain begins pounding
So if you are needing a breeze through your hair, you found it

The monsoon's a raindrop on the ashes around it
So if you are needing a hill on the plains, you found it
Track Name: Thirty-Four Days
If I can get through the night
There won't be anything left
I'll be flipping pages
Searching through the news
If I can get through the night I know
That you won't be coming home
But I'll be here waiting
Hoping that you do

If I can get through the day
There won't be anymore time
And the sand it fades
The lipstick you put on
If I can get through the day it's true
That I wasn't there for you
And whenever I was
You're lost and gone

Thirty four days have passed
And I can't remember why
I packed my bags
And walked out the front door
Well that home's a lie
Holding our goodbyes
Now we won't have to see it anymore
